LOL, the Bee says its a potential conflict of interest. Its not potential at all, it is a conflict according to the OIG; and they way they did it, its illegal.

I like how the Bee is downplaying this story were there is a real criminal act, yet when they write about SCAP, who has no criminal acts, they write inflamatory stories, but when its a family member, they let it slide.

I don't hear Marsh or Lopez saying they want to write a letter to the Attorney General or Grand Jury about a real crime. Nope, they just want to drag a non profit through the mud so they can further their campaigns, and let real corruption go unchallenged.

This situation is WAY bigger than what than what the Bee is reporting on now, lets see if the council members and the Bee will act as righteous when they review one of their own.

As Happy_Camper asked, "Who made the call at the city to say yes to the Trinity after the sub committee had realized that Trinity was price gouging?" Who is responsible telling the subcommitte that no is not an answer for Trinity's price gouging? This person needs to be found out and also investigated thoroughly. Muratore should resign now.

El Guey our government is made up of citizens of the US. People are responsible for bring corruption into government and private activity. Government is only as good as the elected private citizen. People in both government and the private sector are sent to prison. Corruption doesn't just happen in government. Mantore was corrupt before he be came a city council man. Don't blame government but blame the corrupt individual.

Next on the list to find out: When Trinity's figures were being analyzed at the city sub-committee, the committee realized there was price gouging and denied the bids being reviewed from Trinity. Then from higher up it comes down that with this developer, saying no was not an answer and they had to pass on any of Trinity's bids. Who was making that call at the city?

Bravo!!! Well said!! There are many qualified people in this area alone who would be willing to do these jobs for less money. Not to mention do a better job happily. Time we get people in place that REALLY care about the community and not their own bottom line! Really looking forward to jail sentences to be handed out, just can't wait!

Excessive spending and very poor Management of another tax payer program.
Just plain greed and corruption of Tax payers dollars. There are no excuses, HUD and the FBI should do their investigation in this scandal and prosecute to the full extent of the Law...Period!! These elected individuals know they were caught which their hands in the tax payer cookie jar and should immediately be voted out of office and put in jail where they belong. They say the rules are no employees allowed from gaining a financial benefit from the funded program. Hello tell us tax payers why the city employee who purchased one of these homes well below market value at a substantial loss to the program and received an undisclosed very, very low interest rate and at 100 percent financing in not in anyway a financial gain? If this not financial gain for this city employee I have a bridge I would like your program to refurbish. It is my understanding this program is managed by the Neighborhoods and Parks Dept of the city, if this is true the Management staff their should be immediately fired and investigated to see what role they played in this multimillion dollar greed scandal.
Enough is enough get rid of poor/ SHODDY Management and Elected Council and maybe the Mayor who where involved. They all knew they where stealing from the program which really belongs to us tax payers and again they were caught red handed and now they should pay the piper simply for their greed and corruption.

My request is to let only qualified people operate this program. Any sales, renovations etc should be approved by a independent committee so that this program works as it was intended... Keep all the crooks, cronies and poor Managers the city has out of this and other programs.
